TTC Subway Tourist Book Design

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

This is a Toronto Subway Tourist Book which guides people around Toronto to find many iconic or great destinations they can enjoy. The book encourages tourists to use the subway to link to many great attractions in Toronto and especially all the attractions that are near a subway alignment. The book guide tourists the recommended station to get off of to access certain destinations; for instance, it would suggests getting off of Dundas station for those destined to visit Dundas Square or Eaton Centre. If one wanted to visit the historic Black Creek Pioneer Village then they would get off at Pioneer Village station. There are chapters to divide the stories and attractions within each subway or light rail line so readers can choose selectively what to read about and what attractions they want to discover that are closest to a certain line.

Here are some sample page previews including the dust jacket cover, table of contents and some page spreads. As a sample, only some page spreads from chapter one are present. The actual hardcover book would have numerous pages with many stories from all chapters that would cover a comprehensive subway journey by teaching riders the lines and stations to use in order to access certain destinations.

PROJECT MOCKUP

Here are some mockups of the book showing how it would appear when assembled and printed. It is a hardcover book with a dust jacket and hundreds of pages bind together. The dust jacket would contain flaps with the author information.
